Mrs. Tawana Gray is an accounting expert with vast experience in audit, regulatory compliance, financial controls and management, as well as change management.
She joined the Jamaica National Building Society (JNBS) as Assistant Finance Manager in 2005. Subsequently, she worked in other capacities including Accounting Manager, JN Money Services Limited and Finance Manager, JNBS and Head of Finance for JN Bank, formerly JNBS. She is currently an Executive – Group Accounting and Financial Reporting with JN Financial Group Limited.
Prior to joining JNBS, Mrs. Gray was a Financial Analyst with the Ministry of Local Government from March 2001 to 2005.
Mrs. Gray completed the Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Management Studies, The University of The West Indies, Mona, in 1998 and an MBA from Oxford Brookes University, UK, in 2013, where she completed her thesis titled ‘Work Life Balance in a Financial Institution – a JNBS Perspective’.
She has been a Fellow with the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Jamaica since 2009 and 2016, respectively. She received the Jasper Burnett and Deloitte & Touche awards for achieving the highest score in Strategic Business Planning and Audit and Assurance Services, respectively, at the 2003 ICAJ/ACCA graduation ceremony.
A Charter member of the Meadowvale Toastmasters Club, Mrs. Gray is also a Member Trustee of The JN Group Pension Fund.
