Hugh Miller, CFA, PMP, BSc

An accomplished senior executive with diverse experience in complex ­financial services groups, Hugh Miller assumed the position of Executive, Chief Treasury and Investment Officer with The Jamaica National Group in December 2023. In this role, he will provide strategic leadership for multi-currency treasury and investment operations spanning several companies in different territories, as well as guide financial reporting and business process efficiency.

With a proven track-record of achieving positive business results, by bringing transformational leadership and effective change management, Mr. Miller joined JN Fund Managers as Head, Asset Management in August 2020. In his previous role as an Independent Financial Consultant, he was principal advisor to financial sector executives in the build out of their asset management and treasury & trading business lines. He previously worked with other financial institutions in a number of roles, including Chief Operating Officer, Vice President, Treasury and Senior Manager, Pensions and Asset Management.

Mr. Miller holds the BSc in Economics with Accounting from The University of the West Indies.  He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Charterholder and a Project Management Professional (PMP). He has been Director and Chair – Advocacy of CFA Society Jamaica since 2016.  He is the outgoing Vice Chair of the Advocacy Council for Caribbean and Latin America (CFA Institute) and Vice Chair of the Audit Committee (Administrator-General’s Department).  He is the President of the Men’s Ministry at Christian Life Fellowship with the mandate to transform the lives of men, and by extension, their communities.  He is also a CFA Exam Lecturer.
