JN Adds Loyalty Programme to Bolster Membership Experience

3 min read

Keen on improving the experience for its members across its member companies, The Jamaica National Group has been strengthening its JN Rewards programme by adding a loyalty component for its JN Bank Visa credit card users.

The loyalty programme will co-exist with its discount programme, which offers members savings of up to 20 per cent on purchases from more than 200 merchants across the country by showing or using a JN-branded card to benefit.

Under the new points-based aspect of the programme, Visa cardholders can redeem points for rewards from some JN Group member companies, existing JN Rewards discount merchants and access everyday utilities, such as phone top-up from Digicel and FLOW.

Launched in March, following an internal pilot among JN employees, the organisation is already eyeing additional merchants locally and in the international marketplace to further expand the redemption portal by an additional 300. The company hopes to achieve the expansion by end of fourth quarter 2023-24.

“There is no limit on where members can shop. Once they use their credit card for purchases, the points will be granted,” outlined Debbie-Ann Davis, manager of Product Portfolio and Customer Loyalty at The Jamaica National Group. “Our merchant portal already includes two of our member companies: insurance premium from JN General Insurance Company and motor vehicle services from Jamaica Automobile Association, as well as spas, salons, and telecoms providers.”

The JN Group customer loyalty manager said soon members will also be able to earn points through other products offered by other JN member companies, as the Group aims to deepen the benefit of membership and their JN experience.

“The company is also focused on refining the credit card offerings so that cardholders can redeem points for airline miles, hotel stays, car rentals and other services by the third quarter of the financial year. We’re doing the groundwork right now for that,” she confirmed.

‘Ad hoc’ points are also being envisaged to encourage specific interactions with the JN Group.

“There are ways in which we want our members to interact with us and be rewarded with benefits that will be a boon to their own lives and outcomes,” Mrs Davis said.

“In the final analysis, we are focused on offering our members a truly ONE JN experience to deliver exceptional value to them wherever they are in Jamaica and even overseas,” she added.

To access JN Rewards, JN members should visit partners.jnrewards.com to access the list of discount merchants available under the JN Rewards programme and credit card cardholders should visit www.jnrewards.com to sign up for the loyalty programme.
