Season's Greetings from our JN Group Chairman

Elizabeth Ann Jones, Chairman, The Jamaica National Group

On behalf of all of us at The Jamaica National Group, I take this opportunity to extend Season’s Greetings to you and your loved ones.

Thank you for your continued loyalty and support during the year, which has been one of the most challenging periods for us as an organisation and as a nation. We are grateful that, despite the challenges, we have made it to the end of another year.

Over the past 12 months, we have embarked on programmes to reorganise some components of our operations and improve the financial performance of our business lines. We are continuously reviewing our operations to ensure that we deliver premium products and service to you, our members and customers.

The passage of Hurricane Melissa on October 28 had a devastating impact on parishes in the central and western sections of the island. Whilst the damage was extensive, our resolve as a people to rise from rubble, was bouyed by the outpouring of love and tangible support from Jamaicans here at home and abroad, as well as friends of Jamaica. Your Jamaica National was one of the first responders to support the Government of Jamaica by organising donations for those affected and helping to restore hope and livelihood to many.

The road to full recovery will take time, but we are committed to being there to assist as we have done for more than 150 years since we were established in 1874.

Therefore, as we celebrate this Christmas and look forward to the New Year, I encourage you to remember “the reason for the season,” and to remember those for whom Christmas and the coming year will be different this time around. Make a special effort to lend a helping hand to those in need.

As we embark on a new year, we face it with confidence and great resolve that we will build back better. We thank everyone who has stood with us over these many years, and we will continue to earn your trust by further improving our customer service and expanding the range of products we provide.

The start of each year brings a promise of new beginnings, an opportunity to start afresh or to build on the successes of the past. It brings enormous possibilities for growth, and we will ensure that we maintain a strong focus on you, our members and customers.

On behalf of the Boards of Directors of the JN Group, I wish you happiness, peace and love. Merry Christmas from the JN family to yours and a Happy New Year!
