Earl Jarrett (right), conference chair, 11th Biennial Jamaica Diaspora Conference and chief executive officer of The Jamaica National Group, commends Dr Sandra Colly-Durand, recipient of the Governor-General’s Achievement Awards - Diaspora 2026, for her significant contributions to Jamaica’s national development.

Dr Colly-Durand was one of seven extraordinary award recipients from the United States of America, Canada, the United Kingdom, France and China was recognised at the 11th Biennial Jamaica Diaspora Conference, held at the Montego Bay Convention Centre, on June 15. The Biennial Jamaica Diaspora Conference is organised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade in collaboration with the conference chair, The Jamaica National Group, and is supported by legacy partners, government ministries, departments and agencies, as well as diaspora stakeholders. The diaspora conference stands as Jamaica’s premier platform for engaging its global community and encouraging active participation in the country’s development agenda.
